We use the Autodesk Inventor software in conjunction with Vault Basic. When Inventor models are saved to the vault a check box is available that allows automatic creation of a .dwf file that is accessible via Windows Explorer. So people who don't have licenses with Vault access can access the models saved in the .dwf format using Design Review. This program allows both viewing and mark up of .dwf files. It's a fantastic tool for sharing and red lining models created in the Inventor environment.
I went to the Autodesk website to download the program and after downloading a 800 MB File it says that it needs Widows 7 to Windows 8 and 2 GB RAM. What a waste of time - they do not support Windows Vista users. Ausodesk they are just like Microsoft leaving the customers on the corner to be picked up by the rubbish truck to get rid of the 36% of Window Vista Users and 34% of Windows XP Users. Maybe Autodesk is the lost brother of Microsoft because they behave just like Microsoft. No one respects customers anymore .
